Bulevard Hotel is situated on Regina Elisabeta Blvd., corner with Victory Road in the zero area. It is one of the ancient hotels in Bucharest, built according to the Alexandru Orascu`s projects (the architect who made the projects for Bucharest University building), it has been open since 1873 under the name of Herdan Hotel. Beginning with 1877 its name was changed into Bulevard Grand Hotel, name that can be seen even today upon the frontispiece from Regina Elisabeta Blvd. It was the most modern hotel of those years, having running water in every apartment. It is reminded in the literature of that epoch (see I.L.Caragiale, Ctin. Bacalbasa), during time, it hosted of some great personalities, and its destination was changed several times. Restored, according to the eclectic style in the classic spirit in which it was built and modernized, the amiability and warm reception make out of Bulevard Hotel a comfortable host.
